THEATRICAL TOUR—THE SHADOW OF LA MOLA
La Mola Fortress offers a unique way to discover its history through theater with *La Sombra de La Mola*, a show that combines heritage, mystery, and the magic of sunset.
Actor Josep Mercadal performs a monologue written by Carlos Garrido, a narrative that unfolds among the fortress’s walls, galleries, moats, and underground passages. Through an intriguing story set in the 1950s, the show recreates daily life within this vast military complex and brings to life some of the legends and tales that have surrounded La Mola over the years.
The production turns the fortress into a living stage, where the old barracks, the prison, the guard posts, and the large cannons become the setting for a story filled with emotion, mystery, and memories. A theatrical tour that highlights both the historical heritage and the unique landscape of this enclave in Menorca.
In addition, anyone who wishes to do so may enter the grounds before the performance begins to visit the historic 381-mm Vickers Cannon, one of the fortress’s most iconic features.
